Accreditations and appointments

We hold over 100 accreditations and appointments, covering important markets such as Europe, the Americas and Asia. We are a leading UKAS accredited laboratory, DTI notified for EMC and EC appointed as a Conformity Assessment Body under the EU-Canada, EU-New Zealand and EU-Australia MRAs. We also hold many industry-specific accreditations and approvals.

Regulatory compliance

Our services cover the essential requirements for regulatory compliance across many industry sectors. For example, we are authorised as a notified body to certify products against the EU Medical Device Directives, the Radio, Telecommunication and Terminal equipment Directive, and the EMC Directive. Where standards are not available, or do not cover all the requirements, we may be able to assist with the completion of a Technical File, assess it and issue a Statement of Compliance.

Our varied market access product certification schemes include the CB Scheme, a certification confirming products conform to local standards, the GS Mark, which demonstrates a product’s electrical safety has been independently verified. It is also possible to combine product and quality management certification status in a single octagonal modular mark that can be used on products, packaging and promotional material. We are recognised as a US Nationally Recognised Testing Laboratory (NRTL) enabling us to carry out product testing for the US and Canadian markets.

Metering and billing approval

We have unique experience of operating as a Metering and Billing approval body appointed by the DTI in the UK to assess Telecom operators' performance. This has the benefit of identifying sources of revenue leakage and raising operators’ and customers’ confidence in billing accuracy. We also offer an attestation service to suppliers of Communication Support Systems, allowing them to differentiate themselves from their competitors.
