TÜV SÜD Product Service and TÜV SÜD Rail are recognised for independently testing and certifying conformance to a wide range of international standards and regulations and hold over 100 Accreditations and Approvals.
Our Notified Bodies maintain strict controls on Certifier competence and impartiality and we apply these to major rail projects under the following EU Directives.

EMC Directive
TÜV SÜD Product Service is one of the largest UK Notified Bodies (Number1895) designated under the EMC Directive 2004/108/EC (enacted into UK law by UK EMC Regulations 2006 No. 3418). We review and assess client technical documentation with a view to issuing a Statement of Compliance in support of CE marking. We have undertaken nearly 400 assessments since the first EMC Directive entered into force.
Many suppliers of capital equipment and systems such as trains, signalling and station systems value the additional assurance provided by having their EMC Technical Documentation reviewed by an expert third party.
Our Statement of Compliance provides a visible and powerful demonstration of commitment to EMC compliance and assurance.
Other EU Directives
TÜV SÜD Product Service and its associate companies are also Notified Bodies under many other EU directives such as Low Voltage, Machinery, and Radio & Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (R&TTE).
