TÜV SÜD Product Service has over 50 years experience of providing testing services to the defence sector, simulating the most extreme environments found anywhere in the world. Examples of our work include evaluating the combined effects of vibration, sand and dust on lightweight rocket launchers fitted to helicopters, EMC and TEMPEST testing of communication systems for the Army and EMC and environmental testing of operations room equipment for surface ships and submarines. We work closely with our clients in the pursuit of high performance and reliability, so that equipment operates as intended in hostile environments.

We have one of the most comprehensively equipped UKAS accredited test laboratories (No. 0141) in Europe, designed to meet the requirements of 'new generation' test standards such as the UK Defence Standard for Environmental Testing DEF STAN 00-35, EMC DEF STAN 59-411, American EMC standard Mil Std 461E, Environmental Standard Mil Std 810F and NATO standard AECTP 100-500 series.
