TÜV SÜD Product Service provides consultancy and testing services covering high intensity radiated fields (HIRF). Recent projects include HIRF testing of satellite communications antennas achieving levels in excess of RTCA DO160D/E Cat G & K. In house TÜV can achieve up to levels of 600V/m CW and 2500V/m pulse modulated, frequency dependant.
The operating environment for civil aerospace is constantly changing, with greater population across the airwaves. This is increasing the levels of high intensity radiated fields (HIRF). Our commitment to the civil aerospace market is demonstrated by our continuous investment program to increase our capability, for example by increasing the levels that can be achieved in a conventional screened enclosure environment over the frequency range 10kHz – 40GHz.
