The 48th Meeting of the PTCRB Validation Group was hosted by TÜV SUD Product Service on the 10th and 11th February 2010 at the Queen’s Hotel, Portsmouth.pvg.JPG

The event was chaired by Mr Thomas Jaeger, who was joined by 45 PVG delegates from over 25 countries worldwide. The meeting was very productive and the PVG made great progress on the technical PTCRB work items, concentrating mainly on the cellular 2G, 3G and LTE areas.

PTCRB is a global organization created by Mobile Network Operators to provide an independent evaluation process where GSM / UMTS Type Certification can take place. The technical evaluation is based on standards as well as the needs of the Operators, who determine the requirements for the Type Certification Process. Further information on the PTCRB Certification process can be found on their website at www.ptcrb.com.

All results will be presented at the next PTCRB meeting to be held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on the 11th March 2010.
