Health Experts in the UK are calling for warning labels to be issued on all bags of compost after three separate cases of Legionnaire’s disease have been found linked to the gardening component. TÜV Product Service can provide screen tests to identify the toxic contents causing these outbreaks of Legionnaire’s disease and to help limit the number of victims in the future.

The screen tests cost around £110 per sample as well as a test report at £45. With a lead time of just 15-18 days, TÜV PS hopes to deliver significant input into the prevention of further occurrences associated with these harmful toxins.
