TÜV Product Service Launches New CE Marking Service in the Midlands

TÜV Product Service has just launched a new comprehensive CE marking service at the Bearley laboratory near Stratford- Upon-Avon. Already having one of the largest UKAS EMC scope in the UK, we can now complement this service with the launch of safety testing.

The CE Marking is a mandatory European marketing for certain product groups to indicate conformity with the essential requirements set out in European Directives. In order to use the CE mark on a product the manufacturer must draw up a Declaration of conformity (Doc) in which the manufacturer attests conformity with all relevant New Approach Directives (NADs) and takes sole legal responsibility.

The CE marking certifies that a product has met EU consumer safety, health or environmental requirements.

Not only do we provide testing, but we can also offer comprehensive advice on the directives you will need to comply with as a manufacturer before applying CE marking to your product.

“I am delighted that we can now offer EMC and safety testing at our Bearley laboratory. In the past, customers had to split their test program if they wanted to perform EMC testing at Bearley and send their products to the facility in Fareham for the Safety testing element of the test program. This will mean that we can now offer a one stop service for all our customers interested in CE marking, allowing them to place their product on the market in a cost effective and timely manner," said David West, our Bearley Lab manager.
