First third-party benchmark testing of tyres in Japan
TÜV SÜD has conducted benchmark testing on tyres sold on the Japanese market in an attempt to provide Japanese motorists with a better overview of the quality of standard tyres available to them. The test compared four different tyre models of four major brands in the market against various performance areas, including braking performance, tread wear, driving comfort and fuel economy.
This comparative benchmark test was the first of its kind to be administered to the Japanese market, and as a result attracted a lot of attention from the industry sector as well as the media.
