Car dealership success: What will follow the state scrappage programme?
In Germany, the state-funded scrappage scheme has fulfilled its goal as a sales driver for the car trade with a year-on-year sales growth of almost 30%. However, the scheme is soon to expire and many car manufacturers and dealerships are worried that sales will again plummet, leaving the German car industry in difficulties similar to those before the scrappage scheme was introduced.
TÜV SUD’s subsidiary, LC Auto Consult, have devised a “Fit For Service” programme offering specialized training for car dealers and car workshops in an attempt to increase customer loyalty and satisfaction within the car trade. Through introducing Inventory Management, Customer focus and innovative staff payment structures, LC Auto Consult hope to drive future growth through after car sales and customer retention strategies.
