TÜV SÜD: Keep to speed limits on heavily potholed roads

  

Munich. The first snow has melted, uncovering strings of potholes – which are particularly numerous this year. Municipal and city councils are frantically trying to keep pace with repairs. Maintenance is expensive – but new roads even more so. Experts estimate that even after this first thaw around 40 per cent of all roads are already showing signs of serious damage, and councils urge the provision of extra funds for repair works. But all this will take time. Until road repairs are completed, careful driving is the watchword; the experts at TÜV SÜD advise drivers to keep an eye on the road surface and use extra consideration towards other drivers.
