TÜV SÜD: Don't let yourself be blinded by bargain daytime running lights.

  

Munich. From 7 February onwards, daytime running lights will become compulsory! This fact is currently causing many motorists to rush out and buy retrofit daytime running lights (DRLs). The TÜV SÜD professionals advise slowing down and informing yourself in detail before making a purchase. The February deadline only applies to the registration of new vehicle types. There will be no legal requirement to retrofit daytime running lights to existing cars, and new cars sold after 7 February also need not have DRLs unless they are brand-new models delivered to the car dealership after this date. The TÜV SÜD experts provide information why retrofitting can nevertheless be a good idea and what it involves.
