TÜV SÜD awards first biofuel certificates to Nordzucker AG

Munich. TÜV SÜD, a recognized certification body for biofuels, audited six companies of Nordzucker AG, including the biofuel manufacturer fuel 21 GmbH and Co. KG. All companies were awarded the TÜV SÜD certificate with which TÜV SÜD confirms that the production of liquid biofuels is in conformity with the sustainability ordinance (Biokraftstoff-Nachhaltigkeitsverordnung, Biokraft-NachV). From January 2011 onwards, all biofuel producers wishing to place their products on the EU market must furnish proof of their compliance with this ordinance.
