Artificial Co-Pilot: Research to assist drivers
The "4th Conference on Safety Through Driver Assistance" will be held in Munich on 15 and 16 April 2010. The conference, organised by the Chair for Automotive Engineering of TUMünchen (Technical University Munich), their electromobility research centre and by TÜVSÜD Akademie, will address a broad range of issues relating to driver assistance systems.
The issues covered include questions such as, “Will every driver soon be accompanied by an electronic co-pilot able to intervene directly in the driving process?”, “Where are the limits of driver assistance systems?”, “What progress is being made in the fields of sensor technology and information processing?” and “How can existing systems be adapted for electromobility?”
