Siemens Superstar successfully passes TÜV SÜD inspection

  

Nothing stands in the way of lighting Munich’s new landmark on the first Advent!

The Siemens Superstar has overcome the last hurdle in its technical installation tests and inspections carried out by TÜV SÜD. The towering wind turbine fitted with 9,000 light emitting diodes, as bright as 20,000 Christmas candles, will shine over the city setting a record for the World’s largest revolving Christmas star at 70 meters wide!

The Siemens Superstar is a massive pioneering technical project creating a highly visible symbol for climate protection and sustainability, and is set to become a new landmark of Munich on 29th November 2009.
