On the wrong track – wrong-way drivers

  

This article offers guidance to drivers on how to avoid accidents when a report is issued of a motorist driving in the wrong direction on a motorway. TÜVSÜD traffic psychologist Gerhard Laub provides information on the causes of wrong-way driving, as well as tips on how to behave correctly in a worst-case scenario. This is becoming a major problem on high speed motorways with roughly one in six wrong-way drivers causing accidents which often have disastrous consequences.
