Environmental Testing
TÜV Product Service has been providing state-of-the-art environmental testing services such as shock testing, vibration testing, climatic testing and mechanical testing for over 50 years.![]()
However complex your product, and whatever your industry sector, you can have confidence that your testing needs come within the scope of our highly trained experience staff, who are available to help you wherever, whenever.
Our UKAS-accredited environmental test laboratory (No. 0141) covers an area of 1200m2 and has a unique combination of test facilities that includes 9 climatic chambers, many with flush mounted floors and one with 4 metre access doors. There are 3 altitude facilities, capable of simulating conditions at 30,000m as well as icing and rapid decompression.
The vibration and shock test laboratory comprises a complete range of machines capable of conducting vibration, shock, bump and bounce. Most of our machines can combine vibration and shock with temperature.
Managing Requirements
We have considerable experience in reviewing complex requirements for major test programmes. The focus is always to manage the risk, minimise the amount of testing and provide evidence and arguments to demonstrate compliance through a meaningful compliance matrix, test plans and testing.![]()
Climatic Testing
Our 11 chambers can simulate either single environmental conditions or multiple conditions simultaneously. These chambers cover the extremes of temperature, altitude, humidity, temperature cycling, solar heating and corrosive atmospheres. All chambers are continuously monitored by independent computer-controlled data collection systems.
Mechanical, Shock and Vibration Testing
Our mechanical test laboratories are among the most extensive in Europe, and include vibration systems with interchangeable slip tables capable of up to 159kN some with a displacement of up to 100mm. Our state of- the-art controllers offer instant analysis of results, allowing for accurate and efficient problem solving and reporting.![]()
Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT)
HALT and HASS precipitate failures in electronic products and are used extensively by leading manufacturers as part of their design and production processes.
HASS (Highly Accelerated Stress Screening) will ensure that the reliability gains achieved through HALT testing will be maintained during future production. HALT & HASS testing increases market confidence by significantly reducing the number of failures during the life of a product and can reduce the life cycle costs to the manufacturer, by cutting the number of warranty claims.![]()
Packaging Performance
Before you start shipping, you need to be confident that your packaging will protect your product. We offer you a product and packaging test service which evaluates the performance of your packaging.
As part of the testing programme, we can determine the fragility of your product, enabling you to decide the level of protection that your packaging requires.
