TÜV Product Service and BABT are recognised around the world as leading certification bodies, offering a variety of quality assurance, certification and audit services. As independent third party certifiers, we can provide you with a basis for protection from product liability issues, while ensuring confidence in your products through certified endorsements.

Manufacturers and consumers throughout the world recognise the TÜV Product Service Octagon, CE0123 Mark and the BABT CE0168 Mark on products as an acknowledged sign of safety and quality.

Our Certification Services Include:
	Accreditations and appointments We hold over 100 accreditations and appointments, covering important markets such as Europe, the Americas and Asia. We are a leading UKAS accredited laboratory, DTI notified / competent body for EMC and an EC appointed as a Conformity Assessment Body under the EU-Canada, EU-New Zealand and EU-Australia MRAs. We also hold many industry specific accreditations and approvals.
	Regulatory compliance Our services cover the essential requirements for regulatory compliance across many industry sectors. For example, we are authorised to certify for Medical Equipment Compliance and European Union EMC Directive services. Where standards are not available, or do not cover all the requirements, we assist with the completion of a Technical File, and, as a Notified Body under the EU EMC Directive, can assess itand issue a Statement of Compliance.
	Product certification Our varied market access product certification schemes include the CB Scheme, a certification confirming products conform to local standards, the GS Mark which demonstrates a product’s electrical safety has been independently verified and the BG Mark, which is similar to the GS Mark but covers components and sub-assemblies. It is also possible to combine product and quality management certification status in a single octagonal modular mark that can be used on products, packaging and promotional material. We are recognised as a US Nationally Recognised Testing Laboratory (NRTL) enabling us to carry out product testing for the US and Canada market.
	Management systems certification We are one of the largest management systems certification bodies in Europe, North America and Asia. In addition to ISO 9001:2000 , ISO 14001 and ISO 13485, we offer our own Production Quality Certification (PQC) and have expertise with many other leading management systems including TL9000 – the latest telecoms specific quality assurance/quality control specification and Full Quality Assurance (FQA) Approval, a conformity assessment procedure that minimises compliance risk under the R&TTE Directive.
	Metering and billing approval We have unique experience of operating the Metering and Billing Approval Scheme , including Meter Approval assessment nt that identifies sources of revenue leakage and raises operators’, service providers’ and customers’ confidence in billing accuracy.
	BABT With a successful 25-year history, BABT has become a globally recognised and respected assessment body. It offers a complete range of certification and regulatory services for the Radio, Telecoms and IT sectors and is a leading UK regulatory Metering and Billing Approval Body . BABT is also a Notified Body for the EU R&TTE Directive.
