TÜV Product Service Limited is a leading technical service organization: providing testing, certification and assessment services for products and management systems worldwide. We have a vacancy for an undergraduate who has completed their first year of a degree course in the relevant disciplines below.
Successful placements will be considered for a level of sponsorship in their final year of study with a view to permanent employment on graduating, joining our Professional Engineering Training Scheme.
Role Overview
Working as part of a team of environmental specialists the applicant will contribute to the provision of a comprehensive environmental testing service to a wide range of industry sectors. The role also requires a development aspect and the successful candidate will contribute to and often initiate efficiency improvements, many of which will include the management, manipulation and presentation of electronic test data for reports.
The key responsibilities include:
- Involvement in building relationships with customers
- Conduct of Vibration and Shock tests
- Monitoring the environmental test and/or performing any testing or measurements on customer’s equipment
- Liaison with customers relating to the specification and conduct of tests and the interpretation of the results
- Development of procedures and processes to improve the efficiency of the testing service
Candidate Profile
- Some previous experience of programmers and control systems
- Computer literate and has an interest in the effective use of computers
- Good numerical, logical, organisational and analytical skills
- Good interpersonal, communication and report writing skills
- A self-starter, good team worker
- Flexible attitude
- Willing to work shift/overtime where necessary
