- Telecommunications Terminal Equipment for connection to ISDN interfaces; Digital Private Circuits based upon recommendation G.703; Apparatus for connection to the Global Systems for Mobile Communications (GSM) 900/1800 and analogue interfaces of the public switched telephone network
- Telecommunications Total Metering and Billing Systems (TMBS) under OTR 003:1993, now the Oftel Metering and Billing Direction, July 2003
RvA Accredited to perform product certification as described in EN 45011:1998 and ISO/IEC Guide 65:1996 Certificate
- Safety Certification against EN 60950, EN 60065, EN 41003, EN 60742 part 1, BS 6317 (clauses 133.9, 16.2, 16.3) and DTI 85/013 (Clause 5.2.9)

Radio and Telecoms Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) Directive Notified Body
We have a dedicated department who are expertly positioned to ensure your products are compliant with the R&TTE Directive. Using BABT as your Notified Body ensures you can use the "0168" BABT Notified Body identification number providing added confidence to your customers. We can provide the full range of services under Annex III, IV and V.
Conformity Assessment Body under EU-US Mutual Recongition Agreement
BABT is appointed a conformity assessment body under the EU-US Mutual Recognition Agreement. This appointment, which includes Telecommunication Certification Body (TCB) status, allows us to offer USA product approval (including SAR for certain products) for a wide range of Intentional and Unintentional radiators and telecommunications equipment without the need of going to the Federal Communications Comission.

Conformity Assessment Body under other MRAs
We hold Conformity Assessment Body status between EU-Australia and EU-New Zealand.
EMC-Directive
We are appointed as Notified Body's under the EMC Directive, enabling us to offer Technical Construction File Opinions. Our scope of work carried out ranges from IT/consumer equipment to Industrial Machinery.
Low Voltage Directive (LVD)
TÜV Product Service/BABT have Notified Body Low Voltage Directive status.

Bluetooth Qualification Body
We are a Bluetooth Qualification Body (BQB). This complements the Bluetooth test services offered. Our BQB, appointed by the BQRB checks product declarations, reviews the compliance folder and is authorised to list qualified products on the Bluetooth web site.
