Product Certification

ATEX & IECEx

As a Notified body we are able to offer product certification for a wide range of both electrical & non-electrical equipment under the 94/9/EC directive. TÜV SÜD is also approved to offer certification under the International IECEx scheme.

For products with an EC type examination, a quality audit of your facility will be required by one of our team of technical certifiers, locally located throughout the world, providing a cost effective solution.

Non-Electrical Equipment

As well as product certification of electrical equipment for ATEX and IECEx we also offer ATEX certification for:

• Category 2, non-electrical equipment - retention of technical documentation

• Category 3, non-electrical equipment - product certification, enabling you to carry our globally respected and recognised TÜV SÜD mark.  Find out more about the TUV SUD mark here.

UK DSEAR Regulations

Our experienced engineers will attend your site and conduct review of the site or plans and discuss our findings. We will provide a report detailing the findings, which can then be used to identify areas where further work is required, for example:

• Source of ignition assessment
• Area classification review
• Control and mitigation techniques
• Equipment selection for different zones
• Non-electrical equipment risk assessments
• Equipment inspection
• Safety System Validation – functional safety
• Practical technical solutions
• Provide a Safety Case where appropriate
