Defective PIP breast implants in the media

Dear customers,

In early January, the European media has reported widely about the safety concerns surrounding breast implants produced by a French company PIP and some newspapers have indicated that these medical devices were certified by TÜV.  We wish to clarify that the company involved in regulating PIP was TÜV Rheinland, one of our major competitors, not TÜV SÜD.   Despite sharing the same name, TÜV SÜD and TÜV Rheinland are completely separate organizations and legal entities.
