Automated testing and report production

As part of a continuous improvement drive at TÜV SÜD, our engineers have automated many of our common test programmes.  This has enabled us to dramatically reduce test times and offer greater repeatability of tests.  From a manufacturer’s point of view, time-to-market is a key factor, so this reduction in test times is of real benefit to our customers in getting their products to market on time.

As well as offering automated testing, most of our test reports are produced automatically on completion of testing.  In 2011, our wireless group produced 93% of all test reports within 2 days of completion of testing.  This could not have been achieved without automation.  Again, another real benefit for manufacturers using TÜV SÜD’s testing services.
